    Thank you to all the incredible people who supported us at the Eighties Evening event. Because of your generosity and enthusiasm, we were able to transfer an amazing R13,000 to Barnyard Stables Horse Rehabilitation and Rescue Centre.

    We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the dedicated staff at Beacon Bay. Your commitment and willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty played a huge role in the success of the evening, and we truly appreciate your efforts.

    Together, we made a meaningful impact — thank you for being part of it.

    It was payday, and many of you kindly considered sparing a little to help a great cause.

    We ran the Pink Fairy Amahlathi SPCA Fundraiser Raffle, featuring some fantastic prizes!

    Prizes included:

    • First Prize: A one-night stay at the incredible Crawfords Lodge

    • Second Prize: R1,000 cash

    • More prizes were still to be confirmed at the time.

    Tickets were sold at R100 each, with only 120 tickets available (numbered 1 to 120).

    The event featured a challenging 25km Adventure Race that included mountain biking, trail running, and other exciting activities, alongside separate 5km and 8km trail runs for participants of all levels. All proceeds from the races were donated to Furry Godmother, supporting their vital work in animal welfare.

    All participants received awesome goodie bags including a buff, dog lead, and more.

    We are also hoping to add a Kidds Beach Adventure Race and possibly another event in September or October.

    Cape Town Marathon once-off fundraiser in support of Afripaw

    I ran the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon in my Pink Fairy outfit to raise funds for Afripaw, a Cape Town-based animal welfare organisation doing fantastic work in underserved communities. My fundraising target was a minimum of R4,220, with a run goal of finishing in under four hours—though the time depended on how many donation stops I made along the way!     8 to 8 Trail Run/ Walk – KWT – Annually = King Community Dog Park / Trails

    Participants walked or ran the 2.5km trail as many times as they wanted between 8am and 8pm, with prizes awarded to the male, female, and junior who completed the most laps. Spot prizes and goody bags were handed out, and food stalls and pony rides made it a fun day out for the whole family.
